Review: Ninjago Lego Set 71808 Kai's Elemental Fire Mech

My son is eager to have all the DR (Dragon's Rising) mechs. Three of them, Cole's, Sora's and Kai's elemental mechs can be combined. This is a new and special feature. Kai's Elemental Fire Mech comes with smaller mech for a wolf mask warrior. The latter was of much interest for my son. At some stage and knowing about the news that Jay would be evil in part 2 of Season 2, he put a wolf mask on Jay's head and had him anonymously fight against Nya in the evil mech, all within in the rules of our source tournament. I was excited by the figure of Jordana in the set, and indeed, we enacted for a while scenes that revealed the rivalry between her and Cinder (my son got him with a magazine). My son (not yet 7) was able to build the smaller mech on his own and with Kai's mech patience was more of a challenge than anything else. He needed only help with the arms, as one of them has to be the other way round.

The mech is awesome. The only problem are the feet. The come off very easily and when my son wanted to play with the mech, he took the feet off. They are too troublesome.

Looking forward to Cole's Elemental Mech, which I have just bought.
